You would have to drill a few holes for air flow (I have holes in mine)

the overhead lamps are really not needed. BP's thrive best when they have under ground source of heat (it aids in digestion). Using overhead heating sources dries out the environment and thus creates a catch-22 cycle of trying to keep humidity up.

Actually 3 lights is going to play havoc with your electric bill. One or two UTHS would be more effective in providing the environment you need and also more energy conservative.

Others will have more opinons.

I am a little shady about the UTH's because of the ability to overheat and burn the snake and my wiring skils are lacking in almost every way. I think I would be better off cutting a piect of plexi glass part of the way drilling holes in it and leaving enough room to put the lamp on screen?

Wiring is not needed with UTH's, and with a thermostat (which you need) chances of it overheating are slim.
I have actually had more problems with overhead lighting than UTH's. I had one light that actually burned the wire out of the fixture, even though it was below the maximum wattage. I then had a live wire on the ground, which easily could of started a fire.
