My baby Rush had mights but he wasnt aggressive i notices he was always on the cold side of his tank stuck to the glass of his tank...but Rush never was very agressive and tends to dsleep a lot all the time best way to chek for mites is on your snake... under his head in the crack.
Mites raise the snakes scales hide under them so you might want to chek for raised scales on his side neer his belly...
I brought him to the vet gave him 1 shot then got the same medication from my pet shop (cheaper $$) its been bout 2 weeks and no signs of mites...
theres a trick i heard of its called vapona its a general bug killer found in your hardware store just put a small chunk in a vented container and its supose to kill all mites...
So that was my experience with mites... Hope it helps

mites will go under the scales and in the fat folds of the snake... get some mite product that is able to be used on the snake and follow directions on the bottle.
buy some PAM (prevent a mite) and clean the enclosure and around it and spray the pam on anything in the tub ( hides, tank and so on) and throw out the substrate. spray the floor and anything with in a 3 foot area. follow the directions on the bottle as this product can an will kill the snake if it comes in contact with it.
this will kill all the mites and keeps killing anything up to 30 days

I am thinking the same thing But then, I learn something new every day!
Can you post a picture of the product and directions from the can?
Anything, chemical or vapor, that is not approved for use on reptiles can have disasterous consequences for a snake.. And putting a chemical in with the snake (it wasn't suggest that the snake be removed) is never recommended. It is best to use only those chemicals that have been tested and approved.
Because RCReptiles is attempting to be/and is known as an educational resource for BP owners, in general, it is usually best not to recommend or offer advice that we, ourselves, have not tried and/or can not vouch for.
A general caution to those new and giving advice: It would be best to offer advice that you have tried and had success with, not word of mouth. The advice you give now can mark you to those that know about snakes as one to be listened to or someone that knows Jack.
*(You know that guy named Jack Shitt, I think he's married to Lotta; they even have a son named Bull! )

Nick, you are correct; however, if the user takes everything out, etc..they risk spreading the mites. It's more simple to lift the snake out and put Reptile Relief on the snake..over the tank..and put it in a tupperware container (with air holes). Place the snake in a PAM pre-treated box away from the tank for protection from the fumes..then take the water out. Give a couple of bursts of the PAM spray into the tank and put the top back on...after a while open the top and let the fumes dispate and the chemicals dry. Then when the fumes are gone and the chemical is dry put the snake back in and some fresh water.
Quick and easy. (I also spray around the racks on the floor like you ).
