which part is fake? The whole thing? They say retics usually only get 32-33ft or whatever. 49 ft seems fake. The snake looks real. Whats the biggest real snake then? I must know!

It doesn't say retics normally get to 32 or 33 feet it says that is the biggest previously recorded.

ok retics CAN reach 33 ft.
largest in captivity is Fluffy who i do believe is only 24 or so feet long...might be 27. she was just sold to a zoo for 35K.
now yes a retic can eat a dog BUT the one in the picture was a hoax and the snake is only like 20 foot long...far from what they were saying.
im around retics about once a week and the largest is about 18 foot... they are LARGE snakes but people over feed them hoping they get really big or do the opposit and under feed them to stunt their growth and keep them small ( around the 14 foot range). they say we will not find snakes this large for years to come because the ones that were this large were killed for their skins.
the cost to feed these things when they get that big and need to eat a small pig once every week or two weeks also makes it hard for owners to get them big.

"""Indonesian Record Breaker?
In the last days of 2003 news of the capture of a new record breaking Python swept around the world. According to reports this monster, being held at a small zoo in Indonesia, was 49 feet long and weighed 985 pounds. If so, it would longer than any confirmed snake record by at least ten feet.
Unfortunately the animal turned out to be more hype than reality. A correspondent from the British newspaper The Guardian was send out to measure the snake firsthand. He found the snake was less than 21 feet long with an estimated weight of 220 pounds. A big snake in anybody's book, but not the record breaker that everyone was excited about."""
