beautiful king!!! hold him often py so he gets use to it...what do you plan on feeding him? kingsnakes often eat other snakes in the wild along with the average mouse/rat prey?

Yes ...he has been handled a lot and tamed down.
He is eating mice pups....I will feed him this week end.
He doesnt have a roommate... I think he is cool with that. He loves his skull.
Thanks Nick.

Most snakes are larger than a King, so I was kind of wondering how do they kill other snakes?

Deb, kingsnakes can get to 8' here in Virginia (that's at the top end...6' is more typical), so I reckon the captive ones can get that big too. My understanding is that they're not too particular when it comes to eating other snakes. They can withstand most pit viper venom and will even eat rattlesnakes, which can get fairly large. I don't know how their constriction would fare against another constrictor, though.

I am researching and trying to find out how they work..a vid would be great. (the kingsnake I found in my basement wasn't "small" but he wasn't as thick around as my BPs..so knowing that BPs are typically meek..., it's possible that the KS would bite...but I was just wondering how it goes about the constricting part (both would be twisting like mad, I assume.

Ive seen some youtube videos of owners throwing a rattlesnake in with the kingsnake. Of coarse the KS kills it, but its just sad to watch.
Anyways, GL with your new KS, they are very beautiful animals, I had a tangerine KS for about 2 weeks, and it bit me every chance it got (same outcome as taking a razor blade and dropping it on your hand a few times). GL GL GL , lol mean lil bugger. I hope yours is gentle.
