I'm loving my little BPs. They ate the other night. George ate his thawed mouse so fast I don't think he swallowed the mouse, I think he somehow teleported the mouse to his stomach. Gertrude didn't seem too thrilled about eating a thawed mouse at first, but she ate the second time I offered one.

Handling is going well too. They hissed at me a little the first few times I brought them out, but they've stopped that. Gertrude likes to wrap herself around my fingers, and doesn't want to let go when it's time to go back into her enclosure. Laughing George is still a bit shy, but he's not quite as nervous as he was at first. He has developed a fascination with shirt sleeves, and likes to try to crawl up them.

My boyfriend, who at first was worried George and Gertrude would grow to enormous size and eat the cats, is starting to like them. I caught him watching George the other day, and he even held Gertrude for a few minutes.

I did get pictures of George, but I can't find the USB cable for the camera (a dozen USB cables on my desk and not a one with the small connector that will fit the camera . . . Rolling Eyes ).

I'm trying my hardest to make sure the little ones get the best care as possible. Very Happy

George just scared the heck out of me. I'm walking past his enclosure and I notice fluid dripping from his nose. Shocked I run over in a panic, thinking he's sick and out of the corner of my eye I notice his tail in the water dish. He had just crawled through the water dish and the fluid was just water dripping off of his head. Rolling Eyes Laughing

Laughing! I have seen mine younger ones in the waterdish from time to time, completely submerged, and I am thinking they are going to drown!! LOL Then I think..let me shut this drawer so they'll come out of the water. None of them have drowned yet. Laughing

Peanut likes to swim under the water for long periods of time and just go under and hang out there.. espically when he does not want to be in the tub.. He knows when he goes under for more than a minute I will take him out because I'll admit it- I think he is going to drown. He has taught me well I guess. Very Happy

Imagine a 22 foot long snake, under water for a half an hour!
