hi, just wondering what the majority of ppl feed their balls? i try to feed medium rats but somtimes he doesnt take them, i think i might have to feed him a jumbo mouse every 5 days if he keeps on.

:o well 1/2 an hour since my topic, i fed him b4 i posted that he didnt take the rat but took the jumbo mouse went and made a cup of tea and get a bag to throw the rat out in (it was a refrozen and rethawed from the night b4) He has eaten the jumbo and the tail of the medium rat is hanging out of his mouth! PURE GREED!!

I feed both rats and mice. I have some ball pythons that want nothing to do with rats while other take rats for a few months, switch to mice and then back to rats. When I seem to think I've got them figured out they throw me for a loop!

mine is eating adult mice now. he shed yesterday and fed him today and took it in no time at all. first time for an adult mice and had no problems.

I have read(I’ll post my sources ) that rats are more nutritious that mice. But if your snake only eats mice despite your best attempts to get it to eat rats, than your stuck with mice. :wink:

I got some rat pups for Takara today because they were out of mice. she's either really hungry or prefers rats. she went right for the first one.

We both did good! I feed my new acquisitions today!! M/F Mojave had rat pups and the Female normal took a F/T jumbo rat! I am happy and I know you are too!!
