With all due respect, the IBD fixation that I see on this site is just ridiculous.

In all fairness, this is the only BP oriented site I visit...so it could be the same everywhere, and I am just blissfully ignorant of it Very Happy

If it doesn't work out with Deb for her to board it there is a place called NERD in New Hampshire (New England Reptile Distributors). They are very well known reptile breeders, I don't know if they would keep yours until you return but its worth a shot to ask them.

I was wondering if IBD can be found before any visible symptoms

G (the snake) stayed with me while Skipper was deployed. He has been reunited with his owner (skipper is a girl).
